Openwald Elders Digitize Oral Histories of Shifting Landscapes to Guide Future Conservation Efforts

Our reporting focuses on local governance, land use and cultural life. Articles draw from official records, interviews and field observation to give readers clear context on how decisions made in Openwald affect daily life and longer-term planning.

Three recurring themes guide our work: forest and land management, civic participation and economic adaptation. Each section presents data and commentary that readers can weigh against their own experience of the region.

Editorial standards at Openwald emphasise accuracy and restraint. We publish corrections promptly, attribute sources and avoid unsubstantiated forecasts. The aim is to support informed reading rather than to drive any particular outcome.
